Nancy Lee Alexander, a bright light in the lives of many, went to her Heavenly Home on April 26, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio, following a lengthy and courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease and Lewy Body Dementia. Born on August 31, 1946, in Dayton, Ohio, Nancy was a cherished daughter of the late James and Louise Serrer. She was a proud graduate of West Carrollton High School, Class of 1965, and went on to flourish in her career as a File Clerk with Berry Company for an impressive 14 years.
Nancy was known for her unwavering positivity, bubbling spirit, and kind, humble heart. She consistently put others first, exemplifying a genuine and giving nature that touched everyone she met. Her faith was held in high esteem, guiding her through life's challenges and enriching her relationships. She was a devoted member of St. Mary Church of the Assumption.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Nancy led a rich and fulfilling life, enjoying hobbies such as traveling and indulging her passion for culinary adventures. Known affectionately as a "foodie," she loved going out to eat and exploring new dining experiences. Throughout the years, she found joy in spending time with her beloved cats, who brought companionship and warmth to her everyday life.
Nancy is survived by her beloved husband, Darrell Alexander, and her loving daughter, Lorrie (Chuck Geisler) Cole. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandson, Zach Cole, and her numerous siblings, Judy (Alan Starnes) Serrer, Carol Whitlock, Sandy (Larry) Napier, and Jim (the late Toni) Serrer. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Jesse, Lindsay, Nicole, Dustin, and Ali, alongside her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roger (the late Sandy) Alexander, Patty Alexander, and Becky Alexander, as well as countless other loving family members and friends.
Nancy was predeceased by her parents, James and Louise Serrer, her sister, Norma Jean Baker, and her niece, Michelle. Their memories, along with Nancy’s vivid spirit, will forever remain in the hearts of those she lovingly touched throughout her life.
A Visitation in celebration of Nancy's life will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio. This will be followed by a funeral service at 1:00PM, where family and friends can gather to honor the beautiful soul that Nancy was. Burial will follow at Beaver Cemetery in Beavercreek.
As we bid farewell to Nancy, we remember her loving spirit, her infectious laughter, and her boundless capacity for kindness. She has embraced her Heavenly Home, where her courage and love will forever inspire us.
