Hicks, (Chandler), N. Virginia,(nee Moss), age 89, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015.
She was retired from Metropolitan Dept. Store, and was very active with the American Business Womens' Assoc. Virginia was also a member of the F.O.E., and belonged to 2 bridge clubs. She enjoyed competitive dancing and liked to travel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Gola Moss; first husband, Bernard Chandler, her former husband, Elvernus Hicks, and her brother, Burl Moss.
Virginia is survived by 2 daughters, Marian Chandler Adams, Eileen (Robert) Pflum; 5 grandchildren, Eric Adams, Brett Adams, Rachel(Jon) Moeggenberg, Bradley(Lindsey) Pflum, Kelly (Gabe)Brown; great-grandchildren, Krista(Desmond) Monahan , Tyler Klosterman, Hailee Klosterman, Olivia Moeggenberg, Colleen Pflum, Braden Brown; and great-great-granddaughter, Payton Monahan.
Graveside service will be held at the Machpelah Cemetery in Mt. Sterling, KY.
If desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or Spring Hills Singing Woods Assisted Living Facility in Virginia's memory.
