Slusser-Wallace, Myrtle F., age 80, of Franklin, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2009. Myrtle retired from the American Legion Post #149 where she worked for over 20 years. She was a member of the American Legion Post #149 Ladies Auxiliary, a member of Vineyard Community Church in Franklin, and a long time employee of Kinney's Restaurant in Franklin. Myrtle is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Donna (Don) Grau, Carol (Paul) Burns, Leda (Eddie) Deaton; son and daughter-in-law: Carl Duane (Penny) Slusser; 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brothers: Raymond, Estill "Sonny", Tommy Hanes; sisters: Maxine Powell, Geneva Daugherty, Evelyn Ellenburg; mother-in-law: Lucille Slusser; daughter-in-law: Margie Slusser; and numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband: Carl Slusser Jr.; second husband: Elbert Wallace; parents: Estill & Anna (Pieratt) Hanes; and son: Larry Slusser. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, October 16, 2009 at the Vineyard Community Church, 4900 St. Rt. 123, Franklin with Pastor Chuck Wolfinbarger officiating. Interment will follow the service at Springboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.
