CURTNER, Myrtle E. age 86 of Dayton, passed away Friday, March 13, 2009 at Kettering Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Charles William Curtner, her sisters Mildred Burnett and Willetta Heindl and her brother Lewis White. She is survived by her son Harry and wife Nancy Curtner of Springboro, daughter Barbara and husband Michael Sims of Brandenburg, KY; grandchildren Joel Sims, Andrea (John) Madison, Charles (Courtney) Curtner and Todd (Haley) Curtner; great grandchildren Madison, Makayla, Noah, John and Jennifer; brother-in-law Harry Curtner of Burlington, MA; and a host of other relatives and friends. Myrtle was a 1940 graduate of Stiver's High School. She was a member of the Double H Square Dance Club, the Roasa Rounds Dance Club, the Lathrum Senior Center and a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church for 55 years. She was a loving house wife and care giver, the job she loved the most. She was an avid Red's and Buckeye's fan. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, March 16, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH, with Rev. Jeff Cartwright officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until time service. Interment at Miami Valley Memory Gardens in Centerville, OH.
