Blackford, Myrtle E., 92, of Moraine, passed away December 6, 2018.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Myrtle was born November 11, 1926 in Bristol VA to the late Martin and Beulah (Leonard) Steele. She was a faithful member of South Dayton Baptist Church. Myrtle worked for Woody's Market in the bakery for 17 years and after retirement she worked at Fashion Bug for 2 years. She was a gifted story teller and was very theatrical. Myrtle loved to cook, but most of all she loved her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Wilbur Blackford, and her sister, Daisy Burns.
Myrtle is survived by her devoted son, Larry Blackford; two granddaughters, Lari (Dave) Garten, Angie Weiss; 3 great-grandchildren, Tony, Christian, and Kiersten; two sisters, Anna Paullus, Helen Vance and numerous nieces and nephews.
