Myles J. Cronin

CRONIN, Myles J., age 88, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eleonore Cronin and brother, Robert Cronin. Myles is survived by his son, Michael Patrick Cronin and three daughters: Jo (Joel) Parshall, Ellenmarie (Thomas) Wahlrab, and Patrice (Gary) Joyce; Papa's seven beloved grandchildren, Julia and Jenna Parshall, Josiah and Djuna Wahlrab, and Brendan, Bridget and Dylan Joyce; two sisters, Mary Cronin and Kathleen Kitchen, and brother Kevin "Ted" Cronin. Growing up in Rogers Park, Chicago, Bud worked in a neighborhood stable and fell in love with horses; he loved riding and horseracing. But his greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren, all of whom likewise adored him-his singing, his sense of fun and his gift of gab. He was a kind and gentle Irish soul; all of us will carry him in our hearts forever. Services will be held Thursday, 6/18, 6:30 PM at St. Leonard's Chapel, 8100 Clyo Road, Centerville, Ohio; visitation starts at 5:30 PM. A prayer service will be held on Saturday, 6/20, at 11 AM at All Saints Cemetery, 700 North River Road, Des Plaines, IL; burial to follow.
