Murrell C. Turpin, age 82 of Huber Heights, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020. He was born September 27, 1937 in Nancy, Kentucky to the late Othel "Pete" and Thelma Turpen.
Murrell served in the U.S. Navy from 1954-1958. Upon his honorable discharge, he moved to Texas and worked with his brother. Later, he moved to Ohio where he drove a bus and worked at General Motors. Murrell's hobby was attending auctions which led to the purchase of an auction house. He owned and operated "Turpin Auction" where he held auctions every Monday for over 30 years straight.
In addition to his parents, Murrell was precedced in death by his wife, Sally Jo Turpin; and several siblings.
Murrell is survived by his two sons, Scott (Shari) Turpin and Todd (Penny) Turpin; four grandchildren, Chris (Katie), Cole, Ashley (Josh) and Gracie; two great grandchildren, Riley and Ava; numerous brothers and sisters and their spouses; along with many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, services for Murrell will be private with burial at Dayton National Cemetery.
