Muriel D. Reiné

December 25, 1962 — April 28, 2023

Muriel Denise Reiné was born December 25, 1962 in Chicago, IL, from the union of Milton L. & Sadie M. Reiné. She moved to OH with her older sister, Olivia, mother, and step-father Vernell Foster at the age of 7.

Muriel attended Patterson Co-Op High School. She married Michael Jones and gave birth to her 1st set of twins Michael & Michelle Jones. She joined the House of God Church in Lockland, OH. There she served in the Ministry for many years. Years later she remarried to Ronald Frost, Sr. and gave birth to her 2nd set of twins, Ronel & Ronda Frost.

Muriel was employed by the State of OH Corrections and Rehabilitation Services for 26 years as a Chemical Dependency Counselor. She obtained her Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice. Later she attended the University of Cincinnati and obtained her Masters of Psychology Degree.

She advanced to Director of the Re-entry Program for the State of OH, she loved her job very much. Being there for the inmates and giving counseling whenever needed was so rewarding to her. She was a therapist, school teacher, and a spiritual counselor.
Muriel served as a Sabbath School Teacher in her church and set on The Board of Community Advisors, for TAPAIE in Lockland, OH focused on meeting the needs in the community. She was big on community services and sought to instill that in her children.

Muriel is survived by her loving mother, Sadie Foster; devoted father, Milton Reiné; step-father, Vernell Foster; children, Michael Jones, Michelle Jones, Ronel Frost, and Ronda Frost; grandchildren, Marchelle Linder, Muriel Linder, Breonna Glover and Natalia Glover; great-granddaughter, Aubi Linder; sisters, Olivia Reiné, Cherith (Pit) Thompson and Candice Lancaster; aunts, Annie C. Shumate and Gerri Fulton; uncles, Robert Fulton, Sr., Odis Fulton, Albert Fulton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 12-1pm at Macedonia Missionary Baptist, 27 N Gettysburg Ave, Dayton, OH 45417. Services will be held from 1-4pm.
