Morris Eugene Kemper

Morris Eugene Kemper, age 83, of Dayton, passed away August 6, 2024. Morris was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 20, 1940 to the late Birchel and Mildred Kemper. 

Morris is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 49 years, Martha Kemper and his brother, Thomas Kemper.

He is survived by daughter, Marcia (James) Kellems; son, Mike (Andrea) Kemper; grandchildren, Heath (Donna) Riesenbeck, Eric Riesenbeck, Michelle Hart, Adam Kemper and Shawn (Meranda) Kemper; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as his sister-in-law, Vickey Kemper. 

Morris graduated from Fairview High School, Class of 1958. He retired from Medalist Allen A, Whittaker after 20+ years. Morris was a lifetime member of the Boy Scouts of America, a member of the Scottish Rite, York Rite, Antioch Shrine, Eastern Star and Amaranth and the North Riverdale Lutheran Church. He was past Master of Trotwood Lodge #755. Morris was also current member of Vandalia Lodge #742 and Morning Star Lodge #795. 

In his free time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing, cooking and attending community and youth events.

Morris was an unconditional, loving father. He was a role model and mentor to his family. Morris was a true devoted family man.

The family would like to thank the Springfield Masonic Home and Affinity Hospice for the kindness, excellent care, and support shown to him and his family.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek), where funeral services will begin at 11:00am. Morris will be laid to rest at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton.
