Morris David Anderson was born March 22, 1939, in Dublin, Mississippi to Henry Clay Anderson and Emma Jane Springfield of Sunflower, Mississippi. He went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 31, 2021.
Morris worked as a factory worker and was known for singing in several gospel groups around town. Drawing and painting was his hobby at which he was wonderful at doing, a really talented artist! Everyone knows he was the family comedian, and you were guaranteed a laugh. He was also a very strong man, full of life and outspoken. He would tell you like it is! That was the M.D. way, because as he would say "It's my prerogative." He was a friend to many and the life of the party.
Morris is Preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Mae Anderson; Parents, Henry and Emma Anderson; brother, Robert Anderson; Sisters, Roena Anderson, Syvilla Isaac, Priscilla Edwards; sons, John Wesley Horton, Carl Anderson and Michael Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memories 6 daughters; Sherryil Anderson, Janice Anderson, Latasha Thompson, Beverly Halloway, Marsha Anderson, Carol Anderson-Harris; 3 sons; Cyril Anderson, Marvin Anderson and Darnell Anderson; sister Aretha Williamson; brother Henry (Sarah) Anderson Jr. of Chicago IL; 30 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends. Close friends; Rayfield Knight and Herman Williams.
Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 until the time of his funeral service 12:00 PM, at
