Monty Mcgrath

LaMont M. "Monty" McGrath , age 58 of Dayton, passed away August 9, 2012 after a lengthy illness. He was born February 23, 1954 in Dayton to the late Nelson M. McGrath and Rita R. McGrath, who survives.

In addition to his mother, Monty is survived by his sons: Seth Ryan and Martin Ryan; granddaughter, Natalie; grandson, Rylie; sister, Melinda McGrath; brothers; Marty (Kathi) McGrath, Mark (Cynthia) McGrath and Marvin (Robin) McGrath; 4 nieces, Meagan McGrath, Jessica Macabenta, Ashley Jordan and Racheal McGrath; 1 nephew, Joshua McGrath; 6 great nephews; Jalean, Christian and Justin Macabenta & Alontae, Da'Juan and De'Shawn McGrath; many other family members and friends.

Monty honorably served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army. Monty loved the outdoors and animals, especially his dogs and cat; Danielle, Shadow and Max.

Graveside and military honors will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Dayton National Cemetery, 4100 W. Third Street. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road.
