Monica Bir

Monica Bir, passed away on March 23, 2025 at the age of 66 in Huber Heights, Ohio. Born on June 29, 1958, in Dayton, Ohio, Monica spent her life committed to teaching and nurturing those around her.

For 40 years, Monica shared her passion for cosmetology as an instructor at Stebbins, Patterson, and MVCTC. She was known for her fiery red hair and her unmistakable personality, which was characterized by her honesty and her exceptional teaching skills. Monica had a remarkable ability to connect with her students, guiding many through their professional journeys in the beauty industry. She took great pride in her work and impacted the lives of countless individuals throughout her career.

Above all, Monica treasured her family. She was the loving wife of Robert Bir for 39 years and the proud mother of two sons, Matthew (Ashley) Bir and Bryan (Haley) Bir. Additionally, she embraced her role as a stepmother to Bradley Bir. Her devotion extended to her brothers, Steve Jackson and Chris Jackson, and her sisters-in-law, Cindy Combs and Betty Mayton. Monica held a special bond with her nieces, Renee (Mark) Crockett, Mara Crockett, and Izzy Crockett, who brought her immense joy.

Monica was preceded in death by her father, Rex Jackson, and her mother, Eileen Jackson. Her legacy will continue to live on through her loving family and the numerous students she inspired during her extensive teaching career. Monica Bir’s spirit and passion for life will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 11am-12:30pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. The service will follow at 12:30pm. Monica will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
