Minnie Ruth Kumm

Minnie Ruth Kumm, 90, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024. Loving mother of Susan Murray, Nancy Clark and Matthew (Suki) Kumm, cherished grandmother of Andrea (John), Emily, Jessica, Andrew, Zachary (Victoria), Holly (Peter) and Caleb and adored great grandmother of multiple great grandchildren. Minnie is also survived by her son in law Dave Ball as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. 

Minnie was preceded in death by her parents Delbert "Ham" and Agnes Massie; her son Michael Kumm; daughter Gail Ball; and siblings Tony Massie, Larry Massie and Carl "Buddy" Massie.

Minnie was a proud military wife for 33 years and traveled the world all while taking care of her family. She spent her career working as an ordering clerk for the United States Department of Defense during Operation Desert Storm. 

Minnie was known to have a very generous heart. She made sure that everyone had what they needed and were taken care of. She always was a good listener and gave helpful advice when needed. She was a very loyal friend who never gave up on the ones that she loved. 

Minnie loved to cook and was very crafty. She crocheted afghans and gave them away to the people that she loved. She also welcomed into her life her family's friends and treated them like her own. 

Public visitation to be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd) on Wednesday October 30, 2024 at 12:00 pm. with funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm. She will be laid to rest next to family at Fairfield Cemetery in Fairborn, Ohio.
