Milton E. Storer

May 4, 1921 — September 27, 2017

Milton Eugene (Gene) Storer of Beavercreek, Ohio, died on Wed. Sept. 27, 2017 at home with Hospice. He was born May 4, 1921 in Fithian, Illinois to the late John and Golda (Stultz) Storer.

He married Ann Louise (Miller) Shrader on May 12, 1963.

In addition to his wife, Ann, of 54 years, Mr. Storer is survived by two step sons and daughter in laws, John A. Shrader, M.D. (Karen) and Carl E. Shrader, R.R.T (Patti); two sisters, Dorothy Miglautsch and Doris Florea; many nieces and nephews, and step nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, Harold and Paul.

Mr. Storer was a charter member of Centerville Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He was a WWII Veteran, having served in the Army Air Forces as a weather forecaster from 1940-1945. He held several decorations and citations. He held a private pilot's license with instrument rating. He was the Dayton Audubon's first webmaster. Mr. Storer retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Aeronautical Division.

Friends may call on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 1pm – 3pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. A graveside service will follow at Bellbrook Cemetery, 3939 Upper Bellbrook Road, Bellbrook, Ohio 45305 with Pastor Winston Baldwin officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to The Good Neighbor House or The Foodbank, both in Dayton.
