PHILLIPS, Mildred D., age 82, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord on March 13, 2017 at her home.
She was born on July 12, 1934 in Caryville, TN, the daughter of the late Thomas and Nellie Lay.
In addition to her parents, Mildred is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Harry Phillips; siblings, Maude Jackson, Gladys Evans, Mary Smith, Otis Lay, and Edna Daugherty.
She is survived by her children, Gary (Tonya) Phillips and Judy (David) Deeter; brother, Odeva (Jenny) Lay; grandchildren, Jessica (Dal) Turner, Jeanette (Carl) Marano, and Brittany Deeter; great grandchildren, Kayla, Cole, and Cloe Turner and Joseph and Austin Marano.
Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00pm on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439 with a service following at 4:00pm. Burial will take place at 1:30pm on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W. Third St., Dayton, OH 45428.
