Mildred Newport

NEWPORT, Mildred D. "Lois", 71, of Tipp City went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at her residence. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Grace Strong; brothers Lloyd, Edward, and Hoyt Strong; and sister Opal Graham. Mildred is survived by her husband of 40 years, Paul Newport; children Jerry (Ronda) Newport, Teresa (Tim Hasty) Newport, Paul "Buddy" (Shellie) Newport, and Tracy (Gordon Watson) Newport; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters Hazel Brown, of Hilham, TN, and Betty Boles, of Livingston, TN; loving companions Minnie, Gidget, Jynx, and Lillie Belle; many other family and friends. Mildred was a faithful, loving, and caring wife, mother and grandma who will be greatly missed. She was a lifetime member of Ashcraft Road First Church of God. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Friday August 1, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00AM Friday prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Dayton Memorial Park.
