TIPTON, Mildred Neina., age 69, of Xenia, went to be with her Savior on Sunday, February 15, 2009. She was born September 17, 1939 in Lockland, OH, the daughter of the late Herman B. and Russie (Mullins) Alcorn of Rockcastle, County, Mt Vernon, Kentucky. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Beavercreek for over 40 years and retired from Xenia Community Schools where she worked as a cafeteria worker for 14 years. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ovie Tipton; three children, Steven (Leslieann) Phillips of Jamestown, OH, Kimberly (Robin) Kolsky of Xenia, OH, and Lori (Jeff) Lee of Jamestown, OH; grandchildren, Heather Osborne, Holly Osborne, Hilary Osborne, Megan Phillips, Ashley Simpson, Garret Simpson, Steven Cole Phillips, Zachariah Luke William Phillips, and Elizabeth Grace Phillips; one sister, Joyce (Willis) Howard of Hillsboro, OH; brother-in-laws, Dorse Howard and Johnny Wilson; sister-in-law, Virginia Tipton of Dayton; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Norma Coffman, Carolyn Wilson, and Cheryl Howard; one brother, Raymond Alcorn. She was a loving wife, mother, and Mamaw who will be cherished and missed by her family. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel where funeral services will be held Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Wm. Gary Favor officiating. Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
