Mildred "Millie" Pyett
October 23, 1954 — January 31, 2022
Mildred "Millie" Pyett, age 67 of Fairborn, Ohio went to be with the Lord on January 31, 2022. She was born October 23, 1954 in Mullens, West Virginia daughter of the late Horace and Ruth Radford.
Millie was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Millie was a proud United States Air Force Veteran retiring after 20 years of service. She received a Commendation Medal for her acts of Meritorious Service. After she retired from the service, Millie got her Associates Degree at Sinclair Community College for Medical Coding and went on to work at Kettering Health Network for many years. Millie enjoyed swimming, tennis, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her son, Eric Lee Pyett; grandson, Jajuan Jones; brothers, Horace Jesse Radford Jr., Aaron Bryant Radford, and Albert Stanley Radford; sister, Barbara Ann Akins.
Millie is survived by her husband of 45 years, Leon Pyett; children, LeAnna (Christopher) Ordner, Leon Pyett II., and Veronica Pyett; 8 grandchildren; brothers, George Washington Radford, and Richard Alexander Radford; sister, Nile Jean Radford; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 10:30am-12:30pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A Funeral Service will begin at 12:30pm at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
