Mills, Mildred B., age 97, of Washington Township, fell asleep in Jesus awaiting the Resurrection on Tuesday, October 7, 2014.
Millie was born December 19, 1916 in Watseka, IL to the late Frank W. & Pearl C. (Hill) Bush. Millie was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and team ministered with her husband in Michigan, Indiana, Tennessee, New England, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. After their retirement they planted a church in Wichita, Kansas.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Orris J. Mills; son: Thomas Bricker; and six brothers and sisters: Helen, Ruth, Kenneth, Wayne, Roderick & Norman. Millie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Linda (Jerry) Farley-Meyer; son and daughter-in-law: Dr. Philip (Sherry) Mills Sr.; six grandchildren: Tym (Jen) Farley, Arlen (Andrea) Farley, Rachel (Eric) Nelson, Philip Mill Jr., Ruth (Joe) Reeves & David (Grace) Meyer; 7 great grandchildren: Garreth, Annika, Caison, Jarren, Silas, Nolan & Bennett; daughter-in-law; Georgia Brickner; and numerous other family members and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, October 10, 2014 from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439. A memorial service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Hospice of Dayton, Kettering Seventh- Day Adventist Church – Project Renewal, Weimar Theology Department or the charity of your choice.
