Mildred G. Burnett

BURNETT, Mildred G., age 88, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 18, 2008. She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Doyle Burnett; sister, Willetta Heindl, and brother, Lewis "Bud" White. Mildred is survived by her sons, Richard and Robert Burnett; sister, Myrt Curtner; grandsons, Tim and Nick, as well as several nieces and nephews. She worked briefly during WWII while her husband, Doyle, was in Europe and later became a devoted housewife, raising a family. She was also a dedicated member of Otterbein Church on Xenia Ave. for over 65 years. The family would like to thank the residents of 980 Wilmington Place for all their support and loving care. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Pastor Jeff Cartwright officiating. Interment to follow at Twin Valley Cemetery, Gratis. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, Kettering (South Chapel).
