Mildred I. Dreyer

February 16, 1923 — January 3, 2019

Mildred Irene "Peggy" Dreyer, 95 of Steubenville, Ohio passed peacefully on January 3, 2019 at Kingston of Miamisburg.

Peggy was born February 16, 1923 to the late William and Georgia Hill. Proceeded in death are her brothers, Clarence and Bob Blake. Surviving are her siblings, Pete Blake and sister, Margie Schneider.

Peggy was proceeded in death by her loving husband William A. "Bill" Dreyer whom she was married to for 55 years.

Peggy and Bill had 4 children in their years together. Shirley (Raymond) A. Judson, Karen (Denny) R. Staley, William (Phyllis) D. Dreyer and Peggy (John) L. Palmer.

Peggy and Bill were loving grandparents to 9 grandchildren 22 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Peggy also treated many people as family with a 'more the merrier' attitude. Peggy was always willing and made herself available to anyone who needed a family, endearing her to many.

Peggy was an accomplished seamstress and an exceptional cook. Peggy's cooking and recipes were well known throughout Jefferson County. Everyone knew to call Peggy should cooking challenges arise.

Peggy was the pillar of the family and bestowed her love and wisdom on those she cherished. Always, ready for fun, Peggy was also known to play a mean game of Euchre and loved playing card games with friends and family.

However the greatest gift bestowed to those who knew her, was her love of God. Peggy was always faithful to church and her church family. God has taken a treasure that will be missed by all who knew her.

"Her children arise up and call her blessed" Proverbs 31:28

In honor of Peggy, donations can be made to Kingston of Miamisburg or Hospice of Dayton who provide exceptional care and compassion to our entire family.
