Mildred Dennis

Dennis, Mildred V., "Aunt Minnie", 94, of Kettering went home to be with the Lord July 1, 2005 at Bethany Lutheran Village Centerville. She was born September 12, 1910 in Bristol, VA and retired from NCR in 1976 after 30 years of service. She was a charter member of the First Church of the Open Bible Dayton now in Huber Heights, where she taught the Crusaders Class for 35 years and was a choir member. Mildred was an ordained minister of Open Bible Standard Churches for 65 years and a faculty member at Dayton Bible Institute in the 1950's. She shared her faith with others by teaching, ministering in nursing homes, jails, and held street meetings. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert T. & Lillian Williams Dennis, 2 brothers; John Dennis, & Robert T. Dennis, Jr. 2 sisters Alma E. Prather & Ruby F. Garrison. Survivors include her sisters-in-law Margaret Dennis of Florida and Colene Dennis of Texas. She leaves a host of loving nieces, nephews & friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 1PM, Thursday, July 7 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd in Kettering with Rev. Gary Petersen officiating, interment will follow at David's Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12-1PM at the funeral home.
