Mildred Curtner

Mildred DeVee Curtner, age 91, born September 30, 1919 in Circleville, Ohio to Harry and Rosazella Anderson, passed away January 5, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Peter J. Laquaglia and James M. Curtner; daughter, Doreen Curtner; and 11 siblings.

Mildred is survived by daughters: Jane (Jerry) Dodd and Linda (Terry) Baer; son, Peter J. Curtner; grandchildren: Jeff, Susan, Terri Lynn, Andy, Laura, Stephanie, Doug, Amy and Tammy; 27 great grandchildren; and many more relatives and friends.

She was leader of two Girl Scout Troops as well as several committees. Past president of the Women's Guild for Mentally Retarded, Treasurer for Harmony Grandmothers' Club and American Legion Post 613.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, January 10, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, 12:30 – 1:30 pm. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Acclaim Hospice and everyone at Brookdale Senior Living, especially Nancy for all your care and support.
