Mike Thomas

Michael H. Thomas, 75, of Centerville, passed away peacefully at AustinTrace on August 4, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born April 26, 1947, in Dayton to the late Hubert and Dorothy (Tallman) Thomas. He graduated from Fairmont East High School in 1965. After graduation, he attended Wright State University studying business.

Mike spent his life helping people find their perfect home. It was his passion to be involved with his community, whether it was by real estate, construction, or as a loan officer. He served as a precinct election official, and a member of Dayton Masonic Lodge #147.

He loved the Lord and was a faithful member most recently of Urbancrest Baptist Church and Morningstar Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and helped lead the senior adult ministry. Over the years, he enjoyed being involved in church sports leagues and choir.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gail Thomas; his sons, Chris Thomas and Kevin Thomas; siblings, Bonnie (Larry) Anderson, Joyce (Ron) Woodall, and Mark (Shelly) Thomas; and many other family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Melissa Thomas.

A visitation will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM, at Newcomer Centerville Chapel. A Masonic service will begin at 12:45PM, at Newcomer Centerville Chapel, with the Funeral Ceremony following beginning at 1:00PM, with Howard Pauley officiating. Mike's final resting place will be at Highland Cemetery in Miamisburg, Ohio.
