Mike Dye

April 23, 1971 — September 22, 2024

Xenia, Ohio

Mike Dye, born on April 23, 1971, in Springfield, Ohio, passed away on September 22, 2024 in Xenia, Ohio, following a brief illness. He was a cherished family member and a kind-hearted friend to many who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Mike dedicated a significant part of his career to working as a machinist at Staub, where he truly enjoyed his work and formed meaningful connections with his co-workers. His camaraderie in the workplace was a testament to his warm personality and the friendships he fostered throughout his life.

Beyond his professional life, Mike had a profound love for animals, adopting every cat that crossed his path. This gentle spirit extended to his passions for sports, as he was an ardent supporter of the Ohio State football team and the Pittsburgh Steelers. His love for riding motorcycles was a reflection of his adventurous nature, and he embraced life with a vibrant zest, always quick with a joke and a smile.

Mike's greatest pride was undoubtedly his family. He is survived by his beloved mother, Janet Dye, and his siblings: Debbie (Rick) Adams, Dana Skinner, Paula (Kurt) Otto, and Gayle Dye, who stood by him throughout his life. His fiancé, Carrie Collier, and his children—Samantha Morgan, Bethany Garlough, Jakob Dye, Treyden Dye, Maddix Dye, Payten Dye, Skylar Dye, and Michael Dye; and several grandchildren.

Mike also leaves behind his beloved dog, Zila, and many feline companions, all of whom held a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Dye, and his brother, Duane Dye, both of whom he will forever hold in his memory.

Mike will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, humor, and love for family and animals will reside in the hearts of his family and friends for years to come.
