Mike Braden, 68, of Tipp City, passed away April 14, 2014 after a lengthy illness in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 20, 1945 in Newport News, Virginia, the son of the late Thelo and Marjorie (McNullen) Braden.
He was a 32 Degree Free Mason with lodge #0779 and a member of the Scottish Rite and Antioch Shrine.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his son, Richard Braden.
James is survived by his loving Wife, JoAnne Braden; sons, Michael (Stephanie) Braden and Derrick Braden; daughter-in-law, Amy Braden; step-sons, Michael (Kathy) Furlong and Ronald Furlong; step-daughters Kim (Robert) Fraley and Susan (Jim) Calvert; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, brother, Pat (Lynn) Braden; sisters, Jan (William) Knight and Diana Robards; host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A gathering will be held from 5-7 PM Friday, April 18, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd, where a Memorial Service will begin at 7 PM Friday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society "LLS".
