Michelle Greene, age 53, of Dayton, OH passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2019, surrounded by her family. Michelle was brought into this world on April 4, 1966. She was the daughter of Jimmy Almond and Mary Jackson of Dayton, OH. On March 16, 1996, Michelle married Marion Greene and they began their life's journey in Dayton, Ohio.
During her working career, Michelle was a caregiver for her community by working at numerous medical facilities as a nurse's aide. She spent the last several years of her career as a nurse's aide for Good Samaritan Hospital. Together with her husband, Marion, Michelle spent countless hours volunteering in her neighborhood supporting such causes as caring for the homeless and those less fortunate. Michelle's faith was the center of her life. She was a member of the Revival Center Ministries where she could be found worshiping every Wednesday and Sunday.
In addition to her Church, Michelle loved spending time with her family shopping for clothes, helping her kids and the neighborhood children in preparing them for school and their school projects. Michelle was loved by everyone she touched with her loving personality and a smile that would light up a room and warm the hearts of those around her. When Michelle's loving grandson Aaron was asked, "what will you miss most of all about your Granny?" He simply smiled and replied, "I'll miss my Granny's infectious and loving smile."
Along with her loving husband, Marion, Michelle is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Black, Eriqua and Margo Jackson; sons, Robert Black and Richard Black, Jr.; brothers, Michael Billingsley and Robert Staten; sisters, Robin and Bobbie Billingsley, Marcia Jackson and Francis Almond; grandsons, Aaron Whitfield, Rhondale and Raydale Black, Marcus and Maurice Moore, Randall and Zamarion Black; granddaughters, Raynell and Kayden Black, MaiAngela Moore, Emma and Evonne Jackson, Jamaica and Connie Blunt and Nyara Black. Michelle also leaves behind a legacy of numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Michelle was preceded in death by her parents Jimmy Almond and Mary Jackson.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 29, 2019, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at 11:00 am at the Revival Center Ministries, 3011 Oakridge Dr., Dayton, OH with Pastor Paul Mitchell officiating. Cremation will take place at a later date.
Michelle's family have selected the following individuals to have the honor of serving as pall bearers for Michelle; Alonzo Leigh, Stephen Leigh, Robert Staten, Lafayette Billingsley, Michael Billingsley and Keith Moore.
