Michelle Lee "Mickey" Boniella, age 66, of Beavercreek, passed away on August 10, 2023. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, on January 21, 1957, the daughter of the late Theodore and Mary Lou Russell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Denice Russell.
Mickey is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Anthony "Tony" Boniella; children, Heather (Tom) Wade, Jeremy (Heather) Boniella, Joshua (Daniella) Boniella and Joseph "Joe" (Ricardo) Boniella; grandchildren, Kailin Boniella and Jocelin Wade; siblings, Ted (Michele) Russell, Jeanne (Clayton) Steiner, Terry Russell, Julie (John) Sostrom, Michael Russell, Timothy Russell and Tama Russell; dear friend, Julie (Mark) Gerspacher; and many other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Mickey was a Class of 1975 graduate of Carroll High School. After high school graduation, she attended and graduated from Sinclair Community College. She was a Surgical Technologist for many years throughout the Miami Valley and taught for National College in Kettering. Mickey was also the Director of the Surgical Technology Program at National College. She was also a volunteer with the Red Cross while living in Hawaii. In her free time, she enjoyed hiking, drawing, playing games, cooking, listening to music, decorating for the holidays (especially for Christmas) and spending time with her family. Throughout her life, she lived in a variety of areas including, Alaska, Hawaii, Las Vegas and Chicago. Mickey was very feisty, very competitive but also had a wonderful sense of humor. She was very devoted to her family and her faith, in addition she also fiercely loved those close to her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am, on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where a Celebration of her Life will begin at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery, Beavercreek.
