Michael D. Young

Michael D. "Bear" Young, age 72, of Huber Heights, passed away July 15, 2022. He was born April 8, 1950 in Urbana, Ohio to the late Carl and Essie Young. In addition to his parents, Bear was preceded in death by his wife, Frances "Jeannie" Young.

Bear is survived by his children: Michelle Ward (Max), Joyce Westfall and Steve Young (Shannon); grandchildren: Philip, Joseph, Brittany, CariAnn, Jessica and Megan; great-grandchildren: Justice, Levi, William, Nathan, Ella, Jay and Kayden; and brother, Gregg "Cub" Young (fiance, Sue Redman).

Bear loved spending time with his family and his softball family. He loved being outside, going on family trips to Florida, going to Flea Markets, and playing cards with his friends at the Moose. He loved his dogs and enjoyed playing sports trivia with his brother. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye, Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Urbana City Park on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 12 noon to ???. Everyone is welcome.
