Michael J. Wright

Michael J. Wright, born on April 3, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away on January 10, 2025. He was a dedicated steelworker throughout his career, where his commitment to hard work and craftsmanship earned him the respect of his colleagues.

Michael was known for his ornery yet caring personality. He approached life with a sense of giving that endeared him to many. His love for fishing was a cherished pastime, providing him with numerous quiet moments in nature. However, it was his family that truly held his heart. He devoted his life to spending time with them, creating lasting bonds and treasured memories that will now carry on through the generations.

He is survived by his children, Scott Wright and Roberta Lewis, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will remember him fondly. Michael also leaves behind siblings Bob (Toni) Wright and Gary (Pat) Wright, who will carry his spirit close to their hearts.

Michael was preceded in death by his beloved parents, James and Juanita Wright, as well as his wife, Kathy Wright. Their absence is deeply felt, but the legacy of love and kindness he imparted will continue through those who knew him best.

A visitation will be held on January 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in Kettering, Ohio. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location, starting at 6:00 PM. Pastor Joe Getts to officiate.

As we remember Michael, let us cherish the moments spent with him and the lessons learned from his caring nature. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will remain alive in the hearts of his family and friends.
