Michael Anthony Johnson

Michael "Tony" Anthony Johnson, 64, of Dayton, passed away on September 10, 2022 at his residence. He was born on October 8, 1957 to Francis and Velva (nee: Caldwell) Johnson in Dayton, OH.

Michael loved music and was a self-taught musician. He had the ability to play any song by ear. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. The most important thing to him was spending time with family and riding bikes with his wife on the Great Miami River Trail. Michael and Carol married in June of 1986.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Carol Johnson; his daughters, Leanne and Leah Johnson; his sisters, Tamera (James) Ongell, Sue (Jerry) Cummins, Deborah Bailey; his grandchildren, Dominic, Landon, Keilyn and Silas with a granddaughter on the way. He is also survived by his dog, Layla.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert Johnson; his son, Matthew Johnson and his daughter, Michelle Johnson. He is also preceded in death by his dogs, Spike and Naula.

A visitation will be held Friday, September 16, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm with services immediately following, all at Newcomer Funeral Home – Kettering Chapel with Joe Getts, officiating.
