Michael A. Sowers, age 62, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at his home in Dayton, Ohio.
He was born October 12, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Joseph and Clara (Dickens) Sowers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, Timothy Sowers and sister, Mary Sowers.
Michael is survived by his daughters, Brittany Sowers, Tiffany (Brandon) Keller, and Kayla (Joshua Marlin) Sowers; three grandsons, Luke and Logan Smith, Camden Neanover; two granddaughters, Baylee and Savannah Neanover. He is also survived by his two brothers, Patrick (Lori) Sowers, Thomas Sowers; three sisters, Pamela (AJ) Jabbour, Debbie (Joe) Roffino, and Dawn Wynn, along with numerous nieces.
Michael was a Navy Veteran stationed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before retiring from car sales. He enjoyed golfing with friends and taking his family fishing, and was an avid sports fan. Michael enjoyed attending University of Dayton basketball games and Cincinnati Bengals games.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd.
The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face mask will be worn in all public places.
