Michael Warren Scott passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023.
Michael was born December 16, 1975, at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio to Dedria Lee (Clark) Scott and Michael Lee Scott, who survive.
In September 2004, Michael married his wife, Robin, and she survives. He is also survived by his son, Mason Lee Scott, his sister, Teasa (James) Northern and twin brother Dwight Scott. Additionally, he is survived by his sisters Tonja Scott and Rochelle Harding, and brothers Michael Scott, Jr., Morrice Scott, and Mark Scott, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Michael studied drafting at the Greene County Career Center and graduated from Xenia High School in 1994. Michael also earned an associate degree at Wilberforce University.
Michael had a love for his country, he joined the Army in 1994. He proudly served as an enlisted and reserved soldier for fifteen years as a surgical technician, reaching the rank of Sergeant E-5. He did tours in South Korea, Iraq, Africa and Afghanistan. When serving state-side he worked at the Cincinnati Veterans Hospital as a surgical technician.
The joy of his life was his family, particularly his son, Mason. From the time Mason was a young child, Michael worked with him on mastering his baseball skills, especially pitching. He enjoyed attending Mason's games and watching him play. He was quite proud of his son. Michael also enjoyed spending time with other family members and friends, as well as exercising and body building.
Michael was a long-time member of the World Peace Tabernacle Church in Xenia, Ohio.
He will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be at World Peace Tabernacle Church COTLG, 212 Orchard St., Xenia, Ohio 45385 on Monday, June 26, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. with a homegoing service immediately following.
