Michael S. Abner
Michael S. Abner, age 57, of Miamisburg, went home to be with the Lord Friday, April 8, 2011.
He was born May 23, 1953 in Dayton, to the late Kenneth & Margaret Abner.
Michael was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Jennifer Kuhns.
He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Marjorie Abner; 10 step-children; 35 step-grandchildren; 29 step-great-grandchildren; 5 nieces; 5 nephews; sisters, Deborah (Chris) Sturm, Barbara (Scott) Etherington, Carolyn (Fred) Garman; brothers, Timothy Bryan Abner, Patrick Scott (Cathy) Abner; foster parents, John L. (Barbara) Haws; 2 foster sisters; 1 foster brother; and many other relatives and friends.
Michael was a Neighborhood Assistance Officer for the Dayton Police Department for 17 years and an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Miamisburg for many years.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 10-11am at St. John's Lutheran Church (470 S. Gebhart Church Rd, Miamisburg, OH 45342). The service will follow at 11am. Burial will be at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens.
Donations may be made in Michael's memory to St. John's Lutheran Church or the Diabetes Association.
