Michael C. Overbey, age 55 of Dayton, passed away February 26, 2017. He was born May 3, 1961 in Dayton to the late Charlie and Mary Overbey. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sister, T.J. Watkins; and brother, James Goney.
Mike is survived by his wife, Julia Overbey; children: Danielle Overbey, Amanda Overbey and Steven Allen; step-children: Cara Shaw, Stephanie Koger, Adrian Seibert and Keith Maggard II; 16 grandchildren; brothers: Tom Goney and Don (Darlene) Goney; sister, Tammy (Fred) Brackney; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mike was formerly on the Harrison Township Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, but most of all Pappy loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm. Contributions may be made in Mike's memory to The Hospice of Dayton.
