Michael D. O'Connell

Michael D. O'Connell, age 79 of Waynesville, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023. He was born April 1, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Daniel and Josephine O'Connell.
Michael retired from General Motors and Frigidaire after 30 years of employment. After retirement, his passion was classic cars.
Michael is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kathleen; children, Stephen O'Connell and Maureen (Michael) Schriml; grandchildren, Benjamin and Emma; brother, Patrick O'Connell; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Rick) and Mary Beth (Mike); and brother-in-law, Robert (Kathy).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459). A graveside service will follow at 12:30 pm at Miami Valley Memory Gardens (1639 E. Lytle Five-Points Rd., Centerville, OH 45458).
