Michael E. Martin

Michael E. Martin, born on June 10, 1968, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away on November 15,2024, in his hometown. He was a beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, and friend known for his infectious laughter and quick wit that brought joy to everyone around him.

Michael’s sense of humor was unparalleled; he loved to make people laugh and played tricks that kept friends and family on their toes. He was a father figure to many, and his supportive nature made him a pillar in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him. His spirit shone brightest in the presence of his loving family, which includes his devoted wife, Rene Martin, and their sons: Michael (Karissa) Martin, Kristopher Martin, Thomas Martin; and daughter Ashley Martin. He was also a proud grandfather, affectionately known as Pop Pop, to Everett and Ambrose Martin, with another granddaughter, Aria, on the way. His mother, Dona Martin, siblings, Stephanie (Anthony) Jaramillo; nephews, Brandon (Amanda) Jaramillo, Zachary Bostick, Ian Perdomo, Caleb Perdomo, and Eros Perdomo; parents-in-law Charles and Melinda Clayton; brother in law Linn Bostick; sister in law Lisa Perdomo; cousin James Welch, and alongside his closest friend through life's journey, Bernard Prather, create a family that will cherish his memory deeply.

Michael was more than just a family man; he had a passion for life. He was an avid guitarist and loved music profoundly. Riding his Harley brought him great joy, and he relished the art of cooking, often creating meals to share with loved ones. His proudest accomplishments were seen in the laughter and love shared with his children and grandchildren, which defined his legacy.

He is preceded in death by his father, John V. Martin Sr., and his brother, John V. Martin Jr., who will forever be remembered by those who loved them.

The family will hold a viewing at Newcomer Funeral Home in Kettering, Ohio, on November 25, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 3:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate the remarkable life of Michael E. Martin and share in the stories and memories that will keep his spirit alive in their hearts.
