Mickey Collins
Age 60, of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter T. Collins; second father, Russel I. Hardin; mother, Myrtle M. Hardin; one brother, Walter Collins, Jr; and by one sister, Carolyn S. Carpenter.
Mickey is survived by three daughters, Michelle M. Collins, Mary E. Jones and Christina R. Gray; one son, Timothy Zigler; seven grandchildren; one great grandson; four brothers, John, Ronald, Carl and Robert Collins; three sisters, Joyce Byers, Mary McDonald and Barbara Barnett; and by his extended family and many good friends.
Mickey was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was an avid fisherman & hunter. He will be remembered as a stubborn old man.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Saturday (6/13) at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. until time of service.
If friends desire, contributions may be made in memory of Mickey to the Dayton V. A. Hospital Hospice Center.
