Michael Lee Cole, age 65, of Dayton, Ohio (formerly of Fairborn, Ohio) passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015. He was born November 22, 1949 in Shiloh, Ohio to the late Ernest and Fleeda (Collins) Cole.
Michael enjoyed playing golf, darts, wood working, and hiking at Glenn Helen Park. He was an avid fan of NHRA. He was also a lover of classic cars. In fact, Michael started and ran the Fairborn Show and Shine Classic Car show for many years to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy. Michael was also an extremely active member of the American Legion and Amvets. He was known for dedicating much of his time and efforts to these organizations. He is the Past Commander and Chaplain of Sons of Amvets Post 464 and Past SAL Commander of American Legion Post #526 and Post #619. He also held offices in SAL at State Level.
Along with his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob, Adrian, and Lloyd(Shocky) Cole; grandson, Mike (James Michael) Cossin; granddaughter, Tara Lynn Cole, and nephew, Barry Cole.
He is survived by his children, Melissa Williams, Michael Cole II, Chris (Janel) Cole, Adrianna (Colt Allen) Cole, Corina Hurley, and Mandy Cole; grandchildren, Stephanie (Scott) Ferguson, Tabatha Williams, Jessica, Audrianna, Mirranda, Brandon, Alexander and Brianna Cole, Aaliyah and Jett Allen; great grandchildren, Karrera Cossin, Scarlett Craig, Syrena and Jamie Lynn Cossin, Chloe and Clayton Ferguson; brothers, Bill (Betty) Cole and Shannon (Claudia) Cole; sisters, Maxine Gibson, Margene (Tom) Ogle, Hazel Johnson Watts, and Freida (Bobby) Clark; sisters-in-law, Roberta, Doris, and Marilyn Cole, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition, Michael was survived by best friends, Denise Dawson and Steve Groves.
