Michael L. Potts

POTTS, Michael L. "Mr. Potts" age 54 of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 15, 2010.

He was preceded in death by his father Shirley Potts Jr., grandfathers Shirley Potts Sr. and Willie Lawson, grandmother Donna Lawson and step grandfather Green Noble.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Debra Potts, his daughter Alysson and husband Tim Whitehead , his sons Christopher Potts, Matthew and wife Riane Potts; grandchildren Sara, Haley, Faith and Noah Whitehead, Lilyanah Potts, along with baby Potts on the way; mother Helen and husband Joe Patterson; grandmother Mary Potts Noble; brothers Russell and wife Angela Potts, Mitchell and wife Konni Potts; sisters Tammy and husband Tom Cook, Donna and husband Lester Combs; and a host of other family and friends.

Pottsie was a retired letter carrier, serving the US Postal Service for over 27 years. His passion was photography and spending time with his grandkids. He was a loving husband, dad and papaw and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Woodland Mausoleum 118 Woodland Ave., Dayton, with Pastor Randy Grimes officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Monday at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road.
