Michael David Jones

Michael David Jones, age 56 of Xenia, passed away after a courageous second battle with cancer on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was born September 12, 1966 in Xenia, Ohio.

Mike worked at Dayton Freight in Dayton, Ohio. and graduated from Xenia High School in 1984. He was passionate about music and baseball as a left handed pitcher. He was a sports enthusiast and loved his animals. He will be remembered for his patient and kind nature. Mike was a loving husband and a wonderful father, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mason & Margaret Jones and Carol & Don Louderback; twins, Casey & Chelsey Jones; siblings, David Paynter and Valentina Lewis; sister-in-law, Joy Bond and brother-in-law, Chuck Abling.

Mike is survived by his wife of 30 years, Gina; twin daughters, Jennifer and Jordan; mother-in-law, Becky Gwin; father-in-law, George Strider; brother-in-law, Shawn Strider; siblings, Phillip Paynter, Cheryl Yankee, Paul (Teresa) Jones, Roger (Debi) Cope, Lonnie (Angie) Newbourn, Timmy Newbourn and Jackie Marini; nieces and nephews, Ashley Paynter, Joey Paynter, Jeremy (Charity) Paynter, Amber Jackson, Crystal Jackson, Amanda (Aaron) Raisch, Ben (Ashlee) Jones, Candice (Jason) Gulley, Danielle (Morgan) Garber, Courtney (Jon) Wade, Sean Cope, Kaitlyn Cope, Reese Newbourn, Reed Newbourn, Jessica Newbourn, Brittany Newbourn, Steven Newbourn, Sean (Wendy) Blinco and Jason (Desiree) Blinco; many great and great great nieces and nephews and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 1:00 pm with burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery in Xenia.
