Michael G. Behr

Behr, Michael G. of Bellbrook, OH, passed away May 15, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Mike was born on May 16, 1945. He was a 1963 graduate of Belmont High School, a member of both the Evangelical United Methodist Church, and the National Asbestos Workers Local 79(51). He retired in 1995 to live his dream of playing softball and fishing. His softball career spanned over 6 decades and included men's, senior and coed teams both here in Ohio and Marco Island, FL. He was thrilled to learn he was a nominee for this year's Dayton Area Senior Hall of Fame.
Preceded in death by his mother, Lois K. Behr and his grandparents, Harry and Mae Copeland and Charles and Myrtle Behr.
He is leaving behind his high school sweetheart and wife of almost 50 years, Sue (Davis) Behr; 3 children, Barbara (Ron) Goralski , Robert (Cari) and David (Lisa); his father, George; 8 grandchildren, Katie, Emily, Rachel, Sam, Breanna, Hunter, Trevor and Marissa; as well as sister, Beverly (Tom) Grove and many other family members and numerous friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 5 to 8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek, OH. Funeral services will be held at Evangelical U.M.C, 195 W. 3rd St. Xenia, OH on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 11 am with Pastor Tom Hite officiating. Burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
