Michael A. Fritz

Fritz, Michael A., "Mike", "Fritzy", 56, of Dayton, passed away on July 2, 2017 due to complications from a previous surgery.

He was born January 17, 1961 in Xenia, Ohio to his late parents Larry and Betty Bogart (Huff) and was adopted and raised by his late grandparents, Richard Earl and Jewel Maxine (Copeland) Fritz.

Mike was a proud Army Veteran and was a member of the Teamsters for 28 years and logged over 2 million miles accident free in which he received numerous safety awards over his career. He most recently drove for ABF. Mike was a member of AmVets in Medway. He was very upbeat and personable and could make friends quickly. Mike was a leader and was quick to help anyone. He had a very strong work ethic. Mike loved his family and loved his job. His hobbies included camping, drag racing and he was known as a fantastic pool player.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Michelle (Allison) Fritz; daughter, Michele Fritz; son, Brandon Fritz and fiancée, Whitney Marshall; 2 grandchildren, Garrett Warrell, Maddie Huston; sister, Teresa Moore; brothers, Jeffrey, Keith, Mark and Kenny Long, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 2:00pm Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd. where funeral service will follow at 2:00pm.
