Michael Anthony D'Amico, age 67 of Kettering, passed away Monday, January 29, 2024. He was born February 11, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Ernesto and Michelina D'Amico.
Michael retired from General Motors after 28 years of service. He will be remembered for his extensive sense of humor and his willingness to help others in need. He was a "fixer" who enjoyed fixing whatever he could for others. He loved his Italian heritage and always helped with making Italian sausage and wine. He could always be found working the pizza booth at the Italian Fall Festa along with his cousins. He especially loved Italian food and would make delicious fettuccine alfredo. His grandchildren were the joy of his life. Michael was the best dad, best grandpa, best brother, best friend, and was the best to his grand-fur babies.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann D'Amico; brother-in-law, Richard Brophy and 4 angel grandbabies.
Michael is survived by his children, Kevin (Keri) D'Amico and Angela (Jeremiah) Cargle; mother of his children, Janet Owens; grandchildren, Dylan, Kendra, Ethan and Savannah; siblings, Floria Brophy, Ernie (Julie) D'Amico, and Teresa (Huey) Conway and 18 nieces and nephews.
