Michael S. Chesnut, "Mike", age 48, of Dayton, passed away May 14, 2021.
He was born December 3, 1972 in Oakland, CA. Mike attended Wayne High School and Montgomery Co. Joint Vocational School. He worked at Alexander's Concrete for many years.
He was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Book, his grandparents, Harry and Della Chesnut, Golden Marie and Vern Heizer.
Mike is survived by his wife, Peggy Chesnut; his children, Brittney Chesnut, Lan Chesnut, Riannon Chesnut; grandchildren, Sherman Allan Lucas, III, Aiden Michael Chesnut, and Alyia Chesnut. He is also survived by his father, Harry E. Chesnut Jr and wife, Susan; his brother, David A. Chesnut Sr and wife, Lynnette along with many other relatives, friends and his beloved dog Baxter.
He enjoyed listening to music and loved being in nature. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys, Michigan Wolverines and University of KY fan. Mike loved being around kids and loved dogs. He loved history, science and learning.
Mike was a devoted son and had a very kind heart. He was loved by many.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 11:00 am until time of Memorial Service at 12:00 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Children's Shrine Hospital Fund in Mike's memory.
