Michael Kenneth Carter

Michael Kenneth Carter of Miamisburg, OH passed away at his home on 2/15/20. Michael was born to Nadeen (nee Jones) and Kenneth "Tex" Carter on 1/14/1951 in Dayton, Ohio. Mike attended Lebanon High School and Wright State University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Financial Services. Mike was also proud to have served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
Mike is survived by his children, Clay Carter of Marshfield, WI and Kathryn (Justin Holmes) Carter of Fairbanks, AK. In addition he is survived by three grandchildren, Caleb & Lucille Carter of Marshfield, WI and Elizabeth Holmes of Fairbanks, AK.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother in 2015 and his father in 2016, his maternal grandparents Robert & Dorothy Jones and his paternal grandparents, Grover & Ortha Carter. His uncle Robert Jones also preceded him in death.
Mike was a devout Christian who loved nothing more than a lively conversation about his God. He was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking and canoeing the forests and waterways of Wisconsin and Ohio.
A private burial service will be held at Dayton National Cemetery.
