Michael Gregory Allen
April 5, 1967 — March 24, 2022
Michael G. Allen "Mike", age 54 of Moraine, Ohio took his last run on the highway to Heaven on March 24th, 2022. Mike got a late start in life at his dream job but, it shows never give up on your dream. He was an over-the-road trucker for Halvor Lines and had one of the highest safety records held in 20 years.
Mike is survived by his two sons, Brian (Hillary) Allen of Germantown, OH and Sean Allen of Miami Township, OH; two step-children, Jayme Reed of Dayton, OH and Jay Reed of FL; three grandchildren, Zahne Long, Maddison Miller- Allen both of Germantown, and Jayden Wayne Ledford of Dayton; two brothers, Robert (Kim) Allen of Moraine, OH and Jerry (Merlinda) Allen of San Diego, CA; sister, Rebecca (Michael) Schick of Albuquerque, NM; two nephews, Jerry (Hannah) Allen of Dayton and Cody Allen of Moraine; great-nephew, Gunner Allen of Dayton; two nieces, Alicia Allen of Dayton and Dianne (Uriel) Leon of San Diego, CA; long-time girlfriend and partner in life, Melissa Whited; four bonus-children, Heather, Josh, Colby, and Kylie; and two grandkids, Tesa and Tucker also of Moraine.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Norman and Nora Allen of Moraine; his two beloved bulldogs, Teacup and Rocco; and special grandmother, Ruby Allen of Moraine.
Mike loved the outdoors, he loved to spend time fishing with his son and granddaughter. He was a Navy veteran and worked at General Motors and car sales for many years. To know him was to love him or hate him, either way he didn't care. But if he loved you, he loved you and you knew it! He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Until we see you again. Love you bye. Keep on trucking brother.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Diabetes Foundation in Mike's name.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Newcomer - Kettering Chapel. Navy Honors will be rendered at Dayton National Cemetery following the visitation at 12:30 pm.
