Michael A. Batdorf
Age 56, of Vandalia, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, June 27, 2008. He was born January 17, 1952 in Richmond, Indiana to Robert & Monica (Kelliher) Batdorf.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Terrance William, Robert P. & Thomas M. Starns.
Mike is survived by his wife of the past ten years, Kathryn (Kemple) Batdorf; one son, Michael Lee Batdorf; two daughters, Monica Lynn Batdorf and Christina Sue (& husband, Trent) Gardner; one granddaughter, Rhiannon Taylor Wallace; four sisters, Maureen Starns, Roberta (& husband, Harold) Creekmore, Marna (& husband, John) Radcliff & Romoa Weherley; in-laws, Karen (& husband, Gerald) Casper & Tom (& wife, Karen) Boston-Kemple; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Mike was a member of the Northridge Assembly of God and a veteran of the U. S. Army with over 17 years of service. He was also a member of Honor Bound, Promise Keepers, the V.F.W. and AmVets.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the Northridge Assembly of God Church, 4777 Payne Ave, Dayton, with Pastor David Davis officiating. The family will also be receiving friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
