If ever I wondered what an Angel was, I no longer do. August 16th, 2002 in Tampa, Florida, an Angel from heaven came down to this earth and blessed the lives of all whom knew her. For sixteen years, Miah Chanel Vargas, better known as "Mama Miah," was surrounded by love from her Mother, Erika Pimentel, and Father, Julio Vargas. At the age of three, she earned the title of Big Sister to her Best Friend, Jayanii Vargas, and then at four, to her Baby Sister, Xeniah Vargas. Thirteen years later, she became a Big Sister yet again to Norii Vargas. She was blessed to have four loving Grandparents, Miguelina Grullon, Heriberto Pimentel, and David and Daisey Ramos. An army of aunts and uncles, Eddy Pimentel, Richard Rivera, Erick Pimentel, Steven Pimentel, Jederick Pimentel, Jayden Pimentel, Sasha Pimentel, Jade Pimentel, Joshua Vargas and Jillian Vargas, lots of loving Cousins, and a Pup named Drake. Miah was a mighty soul, brave and resilient. She continued to beat the odds even when all odds were against her. She knew that there were people here who still needed her. On November 2nd, 2018, Miah earned her wings, in her home in Dayton, Ohio. She was surrounded by family and friends, love and peace. "Mama Miah you will be so missed; we love you."
