Merrill Short

SHORT, Merrill F., age 95, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 6, 2013. He is preceded in death by his son, Roger Allen Short; first wife and mother of his children, Bessie Allen Short, as well as his second wife, Ida Short.

Merrill is survived by his children, Diana McMullen, Linda Newkirk, Charlotte Tissander, Frances Walters, Edward Short, and Tammy Adams; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren, and 5 step-children.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where a funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Acclaim Hospice of Dayton.
